A financial app aimed at helping impulsive spenders, from recent grads to parents, to build healthier money habits. The core problem it addresses is people who budget, but often still make unplanned purchases.

The final solution includes features a mindfulness questionnaire before purchases, "save for later" option to curb impulse buys, setting financial goals, and articles to boost financial literacy. The project moved through define, research, ideate, and design phases, culminating in an app prototype.

Problem Statement:

Many people try to budget, but healthy spending habits are what actually make it work. Without a way to pause before spending, well-intentioned budgets still get derailed by purchases that were never accounted for.

Objective and Goals:

  • Questionair that allows for the user to be more mindful about purchases
  • Save items for later to reduce impulsive spending
  • Set saving goals and finacial goals
  • Provide educational resources to the user to help gain finacial literacy
